stake.link is a decentralized, non-custodial liquid staking protocol built specifically for the Chainlink ecosystem. Its primary mission is to amplify the cryptoeconomic security and capital efficiency of LSTs, such as stLINK for the Chainlink network and stPOL for the Polygon PoS chain.
Liquid staking allows you to earn rewards on your assets (LINK, POL) while maintaining flexibility for your staked tokens. Users staking through stake.link receive a receipt token (e.g., stLINK, stPOL) that represents the underlying staked amount and its reward rate, and can be used in DeFi protocols for additional features.
stake.link employs a trust-minimized, non-custodial security approach. Your $LINK and $stPOL is deposited directly into audited, official staking contracts, not held by stake.link. We provide a decentralized interface and liquid LST tokens, but your assets remain secured by Chainlink's battle-tested stack. Our contracts are also audited by firms like Cyfrin, CodeHawks, Trust Security, Zellic & Sigma Prime. The platform is operated by 15 top-tier Chainlink Node Operators, ensuring robust infrastructure and alignment with Chainlink's core security.
Our contracts are monitored by hypernative.io and there's a bug-bount program on immunefi.com. All upgrade transactions from the 6/8 multi-sig are bound to a 24hrs timelock.
Both $stLINK and $stPOL are rebasing tokens. This means that instead of the token value increasing relative to the underlying asset, your balance of $stLINK or $stPOL automatically increases in your wallet over time to reflect the earned staking rewards.
The underlying $LINK (for $stLINK) and $POL (for $stPOL) are actively staked in their respective native protocol pools by stake.link. The rewards generated from this staking are then distributed by increasing your held balance of $stLINK or $stPOL directly in your wallet, reflecting your proportional share of the accrued yield. You simply hold the token, and your balance grows.
Stake.link supports staking for the following tokens:
LINK: Chainlink's native utility token
POL: Polygon's network token
SDL: Stake.link's protocol utility token
