We have experience running blockchain nodes for more than 5 years. We have professional experience in enterprise networking, software engineering, enterprise partnerships, and education.

We have a 2 tier architecture where we run 2 sentry nodes for mainnet and one for testnet that connect to a 3 node horcrux (Horcrux is a multi-party-computation (MPC) signing service for CometBFT nodes) cluster for each of the chains that we support. All our dedicated servers are patched and upgraded regularly, and are locked down by using services like firewall and fail2ban, and are configured following best security practices. We use tenderduty and New Relic for monitoring and observability as well as custom cron jobs that monitor chain signing and sync as a backup monitoring solution.

We discuss the topic as a team internally to assess the pros & cons of the proposal. We take into account different perspectives from our delegators, community members, builders, and the core team. If we have open questions or need guidance from the core team, we reach out to them for more information in order to make the best decision. We vote based upon what is best for the chains development, its core team’s vision, and the sentiment of the community. We are constantly assessing our votes to make sure they are in line those needs.
