šŸ† The First zkRollup with a Decentralized Sequencer


Layer-2 Rollups are paving the way for Ethereum to scale to millions more users. 

With over $57.91ā€ŠB in Total Value Locked (TVL) across L2 Rollups, this vision is already beginning to blossom.

Sequencers play a critical role in the success of L2 Rollups. In short, Sequencers manage transactions between the L2 and Ethereum, enabling lower fees and quicker confirmations.

One aspect that often flies under the radar, is that all of the major L2s (i.e. Arbitrum One, Base, and Optimism) have opted to run their own centralized sequencers, operated by their core dev teams.

Starknet is set to be the first major rollup with a permissionless sequencer set. Setting a new standard when it comes to decentralizing L2s.

The world’s first non-custodial BTC staking protocol, Babylon, will open the cap for staking again on 10 Dec at around 11:00. 

This time, the window to stake will last 1,000 BTC blocks (roughly 1 week).

Babylon BTC staking has seen significant growth already, with 25,308 Bitcoin holders staking 23,290 BTC in a matter of hours during the last staking cap.
