Origin Protocol has launched a staking contract in which users can stake OGN and earn rewards in return for locking up tokens for a certain staking period.



Users can stake by sending a simple transaction to the Staking smart contract, which triggers the lock-up of their tokens. Interest is accrued automatically and without any further action required.



Staked tokens will be locked for the duration of the staking period. After each staking period ends, you will be able to claim both your initial OGN (principal) and yield.



You can get started within minutes, and there is no minimum OGN amount required to participate.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Getting Started</h3>



Visit the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.ousd.com/stake">OUSD</a>&nbsp;DApp to begin earning today. You will need to use a web3-enabled wallet (e.g. Metamask).

Choose between the three staking options. For token holders who want to maximize yield, we recommend the 365-day staking period (currently set at 25% annualized interest). Please beware OGN tokens are not accessible for the staking period.

Confirm your transaction to complete the staking process.

You will then see your active staking lock-ups.

After your staking period has completed, you can claim both your principal and interest tokens.
