TRES attended the Staking Summit in 2023 as sponsors. They work closely with many staking providers across the industry. Since the event, they have secured several major accounts, onboarded their first bank, and launched a product specifically targeting staking providers. As a result of these successes, they have returned in 2024 to lead the charge as headline sponsors.

Here is a brief interview with their team, highlighting the key takeaways from last year's event and what they are looking forward to in 2024.

What motivated you to sponsor the Staking Summit for a second year in a row?

A:  We sponsored last year, but to a lesser extent - and we saw some great value. The event itself is awesome, filled with great talks, people and activities. We were really excited for this year, and wanted to make the most of the opportunity!

How has your involvement as a Pro Sponsor impacted your protocol over the past year?

A: We’re not a protocol, but we work very closely with many staking providers across the industry. We really managed to meet a lot of new people and get the TRES name out within the industry. This allowed us to have stronger conversations this year and build better relationships.

Can you share any success stories or significant interactions that happened due to your initial sponsorship?

A: We’ve closed multiple big accounts from sponsoring last year! We managed to onboard our first bank and we’ve launched a new product that specifically targets staking providers (our staking reward data api - leveraging our underlying financial data lake) from feedback we received at staking summit.

What were some of your highlights from last year’s Summit?

A: Victor (Director of Sales) speaking on one of the Staking Summit panels, and who could forget the huge, group Wagamama dinner. That was a lot of fun getting to mingle with the whole staking industry. There were some really great talks throughout the event too.

What aspects of the Staking Summit align with your values and goals?

A: I think the whole vibe was full of laid back people, but who all were serious about their business and companies. It’s the perfect mix, and at TRES, we’re all about working hard, solving problems and doing it all with a smile.

How would you compare the Staking Summit to other crypto events?

A: I think being more specifically targeted into one core portion of the industry stopped there being random discussions or entry level conversations. The expertise in the room is what sets it apart from general crypto events.

What are your expectations for this year’s Summit?

A: More of the same - but bigger and better!

How do you see the staking industry evolving in the next few years, and what role will TRES play?

A: Staking is a huge part of the crypto ecosystem. With more and more complexity (liquid/restaking) there are huge opportunities for investor growth and revenue growth - but it comes at a cost. TRES will be at the forefront, making sure that back office financial data will be accurate, secure and reliable. This will enable protocols and providers to focus on growing their business whilst we take care of the financial operations.

Are there any new initiatives or projects that you are excited to share at this year’s summit?

A:Our staking data API: We didn’t have this last year, and we announced it earlier in the year. You can find more information on this here: https://tres.finance/tres-query-staking-reward-data-api/

Anything else you’d like to share with attendees and the community?

A: Let’s go! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
