Wrapped HYPE Staking

Hyperliquid is a performant L1 optimized from the ground up. The vision is a fully onchain open financial system with user-built applications interfacing with performant native components, all without compromising end-user experience. 

A wrapped token is a version of a cryptocurrency that's been tokenized to operate on a different blockchain. It maintains the same value as the original asset but allows it to be used in ecosystems where the native token isn't supported. For example, WHYPE lets users use HYPE on HyperEVM DeFi platforms while still being backed 1:1 by the original HYPE on Hyperliquid.

The HyperEVM is a general-purpose Ethereum Virtual Machine integrated directly into the Hyperliquid L1, secured by the same HyperBFT consensus as HyperCore. It allows seamless interaction between EVM-based smart contracts and native components like spot and perp order books. HYPE is the native gas token, and assets like HYPE are fully fungible across Hyperliquid L1 and HyperEVM, enabling users to trade with low fees and deep liquidity while also using the same token in EVM-based applications.

Step 1: Add HyperEVM to Your Wallet

• Go to the Stake App and connect your wallet.
• The app will prompt you to add the HyperEVM network.

Or manually add it with the following details:

• Network Name: HyperEVM
• Chain ID: 999
• RPC URL: https://rpc.hyperliquid.xyz/evm
• Currency Symbol: HYPE
• Block Explorer: https://purrsec.com/

Step 2: Transfer HYPE to HyperEVM

• In the Portfolio tab on Hyperliquid, connect your wallet.
• Choose to transfer from Spot to HyperEVM, enter the amount, and click Confirm.
• Approve the transaction in your wallet.

Alternative Method:

• Use the Send function and enter this destination address:

• Choose your source (e.g. Spot), enter the amount, and click Send.
• Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
