Team Track Record
Our team, led by CEO Charles Allen and COO Michal Handerhan, has extensive experience in the blockchain technology industry, starting from 2014. Additionally, our CTO has more than 15 years devops experience. Originally, BTCS operated as an e-commerce platform, allowing customers to make online purchases using cryptocurrencies. As the first US public company to employ a bitcoin mining strategy, we have since shifted our focus to building and operating validator nodes for next-generation proof-of-stake blockchains. Our nearly 9 years of experience as a US public company in the rapidly expanding blockchain space showcases our expertise as validator operators.
What is your Infrastructure Security Setup?
Our infrastructure and security setup for our blockchain validator nodes is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers. AWS is a highly secure cloud services platform that provides a robust infrastructure for hosting and managing applications.
Our validator nodes are continuously monitored 24/7 through AWS CloudWatch, which provides real-time monitoring and alerts for any issues or deviations from the established performance baselines. We have also implemented multiple security measures to ensure the highest level of security for our validator nodes.
How do you handle Governance Decisions?
As a blockchain validator node operator, we take protocol governance decisions seriously. Our approach involves staying up to date with community discussions and proposed changes to the protocol. Before making a decision, we thoroughly evaluate the proposal to understand its impact on the network and its compatibility with the consensus mechanism. We actively participate in the voting process and use our voting power to support proposals that will have a positive impact on the network. Our ultimate goal is to maintain the stability and integrity of the network by following the consensus reached by the majority of validator nodes.
