The Verified Provider Program (VPP) is an initiative to increase trust, transparency, and reliability in the staking industry by verifying that Providers meet a set of criteria relating to risk management, longevity, and security measures. Historically, the challenge of choosing a staking provider has been two-fold:
- It is difficult to determine which providers will be trustworthy in the future
- In most cases, it’s not transparent whether or not a given company follows industry best practices. It was also not possible for ordinary users to figure out if these companies were legitimate or not.
With the VPP, we help investors make confident decisions about Staking Providers by performing in-depth due diligence on Staking Providers so that you don’t have to. Providers who pass the requirements of the program will be considered sufficiently trustworthy by Staking Rewards to provide reliable, secure services.

How do we determine which Staking Providers are safe?
Staking Rewards’ VPP provides a self-regulated platform for providers to securely share information about their operations and security setup. Our team then assesses and verifies – on-chain where applicable – the provided information based on predetermined standards and best practices for the staking industry. We conduct extensive due diligence in the following areas of the Staking Provider’s operations:
- Reliability
- Security
- Accountability
- Liability
In addition, we also calculate a “Value-Added Score” that considers things like customer service, value-added services that they offer, decentralization ethos, and governance participation. This is not required for verification but holds Staking Providers to a higher standard.
