Staking Rewards is delighted to announce the Verified Staking Provider (VSP) Pro, in partnership with Quantstamp, a leader in web3 security. The VSP Pro raises the bar in safety and security at a time where more stakers, ranging from retail to institutional, are looking to enter the space.

What is the Verified Staking Provider (VSP) program?

Since launching in early 2023, the VSP certification has become the industry standard for transparent, sustainable and honest staking operations. The program has helped all kinds of investors from retail to institutions to understand which staking providers are following best practices. Notably, the VSP certification is already integrated into leading blockchain explorers, such as Suiscan, Mintscan and Avascan, ensuring easy accessibility and visibility for users.

Currently, there are 56 verified staking providers on the program, which equates to a total of $45B in combined AuM and represents 2.5M stakers.

How is the VSP Pro different?

The addition of the VSP Pro, in partnership with Quantstamp, further raises the standard of trust by offering an anti-slashing audit and insurance to staking providers.

Quantstamp has extensive experience in smart contract audits, infrastructure audits and pentesting. As part of the VSP Pro, Quantstamp will offer a specialized audit that focuses on slashing prevention. The audit will scrutinize the lack of persistence in an anti-slashing database, improper key management or having validators accessible from an open internet.

In addition, the VSP Pro will include institutional-grade insurance offered by Chainproof, Quantstamp’s fully licensed insurance subsidiary backed by Munich Re, the world’s largest reinsurer.
