Currently staking rewards are mainly derived from network inflation.

Persistence started out with an inflation rate of 35%. Until the Goal of 67% Total Staked has been reached, the Inflation will increase up until a maximum of 45%. Once the goal of 67% Total Staked has been reached, the inflation will decrease down until 25% has been reached.

Inflation is being distributed between all stakers proportionally to their stake.

These validators are registered with Staking Rewards and are considered reliable. Please note that any validator is free to get in touch with us to get verified. We are not affiliated with any of them and thrive to provide an independent ranking.

When choosing a validator to delegate your XPRT tokens, make sure to look at the commission rate which has a direct impact on your rewards being paid out. Low Commission = High Rewards.

However please note that commission rates are the bread and butter for many validators. They rely on it to maintain reliable operations.

Furthermore, it is important to make sure that the selected validator is able to maintain a solid close to 100% uptime for their services.

You may want to consider delegating to smaller validators in order to further decentralize the network. This does not only support the network resilience, but also the value of your XPRT investment long-term.

Also consider validators that are long-term committed to providing value to Persistence by supporting the platforms app development, tooling, and educational materials.

While delegating XPRT tokens, you maintain full control of your private keys. As long as you protect them, you will be safe.

However please consider that there is an unlikely risk, that you will lose a portion of your funds in the case that your validator misses many blocks or signs the same block twice. Therefore, please make sure to delegate with a reliable validator from the list above.

Also consider, that tokens are locked for 21 days from the time when you revoke your delegation. You are not able to receive rewards, not transfer them within that period.
