OM is the native cryptocurrency within the MANTRA Chain ecosystem, utilized for transactions, staking, and engaging in governance activities.

Membership: OM tokens are the gateway for investors to join the OM community and participate actively in MANTRA DAO.

Voting Rights: Holders of OM tokens have the privilege to vote on governance polls and proposals, allowing them to influence strategic decisions and the future direction of the platform.

Governance Participation: OM tokens enable community members to engage in governance processes, ensuring a decentralized approach to platform evolution.

Rewards Programs: OM token holders gain access to various reward programs within the MANTRA DAO ecosystem, incentivizing participation and contribution.

The initial total supply was set to 888,888,888 OM. However, a recent proposal involves minting and distributing new OM tokens to transition from a dApp token to a native-chain coin, aimed at supporting a thriving ecosystem and capturing value across various sectors, with potential adjustments based on exchange requirements or regulatory feedback. The new maximum supply, according to the proposal, will be set at 1,777,777,777 OM.
